Introduction to:
The Joy of Being Retired
365
Reasons Why You Will Love
Retirement

Introduction for the
Book
There was a time when the word “retirement”
was joyfully expressed and thought by the majority to be a
special phase of a person’s life. Retirement has been getting a
bad name lately, however, particularly from people who don’t
have a clue about how to enjoy themselves with all their free
time. A little sad, wouldn’t you say?
No doubt even during the best of times the
fallout from retirement can be good or not so good, depending
on the type of individual you are and what your financial
status is when you retire. In this book I am focusing on the
positive aspects of retirement that help people retire
happy.
The great news is that many more people
enjoy retirement than those who don’t. The purpose of
The Joy of Being Retired is to
help you join the group of individuals who are truly
happy to be
retired.
Some of the more interesting benefits of
retirement cited in this book come from other individuals than
me, including those who have written letters to yours truly
after reading my international bestseller
How to Retire Happy, Wild, and
Free.
Like me, many people are not big fans of
having to work in the typical corporation. This is what makes
retirement so special. Regardless of how terrible your
workplace may have been, the important thing is to have a happy
and prosperous retirement — because millions of creative and
optimistic individuals will!
With that in mind, The Joy of
Being Retired contains 365 reasons why you
will love retirement! In other reasons why
retirement rocks.
In fact, the book has Reason 50 bonus
reasons that can be used to substitute for any of the main 365
reasons that a publisher or licensee may not find
appropriate.

There is good news, nevertheless. You can
